As stated elsewhere in our web site. Creating a specific colored racer is sometimes difficult ...as the gene combination is a random process. The more genes that you want to combine in a particular pigeon, the more difficult the process becomes. ( Just ask any toy stenciled breeder!) The following is a list of the colors or genes we are working with. Many are kept in very limited numbers. I will attempt to list both genes and common color names, so as not to confuse novice breeders.
Andalusion Indigo Recessive Red Recessive Yellow Recessive Opal Almond Qualmond Faded Toy Stencil Frill Stencil Ice Brown Barless (Blue, Brown & Ice) Penciled Saddle Cream Yellow Check Mealy Red Check Dun Silver Lavender/Milky Black
As stated elsewhere, many of these genes can be combined to produce a beautiful bird.... examples: Brown dominant opal saddle Cream grizzle Brown barless Andalusion dominant opal, etc. |
