Qualmond has the genetic symbol St (Q) and is located at the same locus as Faded and Almond. It was discovered by Joe Quinn of Ohio. The appearance is similar to almond, although slightly different. It has been my experience that the ground color of qualmond is more consistent than with almonds. Also the "homozygous eye problem " of almonds does NOT exist with qualmond.
